Donate to Northampton County NC Animal Shelter
We are a small shelter in the North of North Carolina on the border with South Virginia. We have only 8 runs and need space for dogs coming in. We are need of rescues, adopters, and foster homes. Usually with adoptions and our Rescue partners, we can get everyone out eventually. We have dogs that have been with us a little while and need homes! We have employees who work with the animals on a regular basis, full days Monday-Friday to test, house-train, leash train, and get to know any issues with these dogs and cats. They are worked with one on one, and we have a good idea what they need, so you will be well informed. If you are interested in one of our furbabies, please call and leave a voicemail to set up an appointment or message our Facebook page. The Northampton County NC Animal Shelter is a county facilty operated Northampton County Animal Control under the requirements of the Code of the North Carolina. Animals are held in accordance with state requirements, until redeemed by the owner, adopted, For more information see the Northampton County Animal Shelter website. Click on the banner below to see our Amazon Wishlist. We have had many people asking how they can help or donate. These are some of the items we can use or do use. We are a funded shelter, but donations do help make the animals more comfortable and happy during their stay at the shelter. If you see something that is not listed, but you think we would be able to use it and the furbabies would love it, send it! If you have any questions please call us at 252-534-1125. All donations can be sent to: Northampton County Animal ShelterC/O Sheriff's Department,

No Squeeky Toys Please
Toys that make a noise when you squeeze them can encourage some dogs to be aggressive towards young children because they squeek too. The device that makes the noise is usually small and can be harmful if swallowed. Some toys of this type contain a small battery which is poisonous if the dog eats it. The best toys are tuggers, tennis balls and hard chew toys that cannot be ripped apart. Visiting Northampton County Animal Shelter
